Every aspect allows you to relax in a quiet environment in beautiful surroundings, often with walks and some form of meditation or activity. So that you can go into a deeper, often ignored, part of yourself. We all know that self-care and reflection are not luxuries, they're essential. But we're all works-in-progress, and some days are easier than others. We all need moments in time where it feels like life stops for a bit. Then we can remind our body, mind and spirit what self-love and self-reflection feel like, and re-kickstart these elements of our lifestyle practice. We then start connecting with our thoughts, feelings, and actions without judgement, and send a message to ourselves that we are worthy of love and care.

Scientific studies have proven that spending time in natural environments is beneficial for our physical and psychological health and makes it easier for us to experience elevated emotions.
Change of Scenery and Routine
Your brain loves routine because it's energy-efficient (and we can use this fact to our advantage if we practice establishing healthy routines). But we need only recall during the pandemic's lockdowns how monotony played tricks on people's brains. The days blurred into one, and many people's mental health suffered.
Your brain needs a shake-up to the routine now and then for optional functioning. Diversifying what our five senses take in each day and exploring new and novel experiences stimulates the hippocampus area of the brain, which is important for emotional regulation. Switching up our daily routines may also foster greater chances of breaking old habits.

Practices like Qigong, Tai Chi, crystal bowl sound healing, art therapy, breathwork and meditation allow our sympathetic nervous system to move into rest and repair. This state is necessary for cells to repair and is soothing for the soul.

Serenity Escape Retreat… "a fabulous experience!"
Our recent Serenity Escape Retreat was held 3-5 March at the tranquil venue of Willow Farm, Berry NSW, a luxe 1920's farmhouse, and was such a beautiful and relaxing experience!
Guests travelled from Brisbane, Newcastle, Orange and locally to enjoy a weekend of total indulgence!
The theme for the weekend was "Self-Love"
Our guests were welcomed with a beautiful chakra balancing sound bath and meditation with the healing sounds of crystal bowls. Throughout the retreat, guests salivated over the nourishing, delicious chef-prepared meals, participated in energising morning Qigong under the branches of a 150-year-old fig tree, relaxed with heavenly massages on the open veranda, had fun mixing up delicious alcohol-free cocktails and got creative with a picnic-styled 'art on the grass' workshop and also learnt how to 'tap' away stress with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
It was wonderful to see everyone so relaxed and happy with their experience. We were also really pleased to receive 5-star reviews from all our retreat participants.
